eBucks teams with Citymob
FNB’s multi-partner loyaly programme, eBucks, has added online design retailer Citymob to its online partners.
Citymob has joined the eBucks fold as both an earn and spend partner.
Citymob is an invite-only online retailer which offers a number designer products for a limited time, in limited number.
The site was ranked as one of the top five South African e-commerce sites in South Africa over the 2012 festive season.
From August 1, Citymob customers have been able to earn eBucks when shopping on the online store, or they can spend their eBucks when shopping on the site.
eBucks members earn 4% of their Citymob spend back in eBucks when they enter their South African ID number on check out.
If customers pay with a qualifying FNB or RMB Private Bank card that has been linked to their eBucks account, they stand to earn additional eBucks from the bank on the same transaction, FNB said.
“With an increasing number of South Africans coming online and starting to explore the convenience and choice of online shopping, we know it’s important to give them a range of safe and convenient ways to transact,” said eBucks CEO, Jolandé Duvenage.
Citymob joins a host of other complementary e-commerce partners on eBucks’ multi-partner offering, including kalahari.com, Yuppiechef, Takealot.com, Netflorist, Zando and Cybercellar, amongst others.
Citymob started out as a daily-deals store in the daily-deals heyday, but has since undergone a significant shift in strategy.
The latest partnership with eBucks falls in-line with the company’s strategy to grow its user numbers and offer more products, and follows a partnership formed in April 2013 with online retailer Wantitall.co.za.
According to Citymob co-founders Luke Jedeikin and Claude Hanan, the online retailer plans to boost its user base to between 700,000 and 800,000 users by the end of 2013.
