SecureData appoints new CEO

JSE-listed information risk management group, SecureData (SDH) has announced that it has appointed Miles Crisp as chief executive of the company.

Crisp will take up the position effective from 1 August 2012, while interim CEO, Johan du Toit will cede the role and continue working as SecureData’s financial director.

Crisp is a chartered accountant (SA), and has extensive experience in the business environment and has, notably, been very successful in building sustainable leadership teams, SecureData said.

Crisp has been the interim managing director of SecureData Africa, and was previously chief executive of O´Keeffe & Swartz Consulting Proprietary
Limited. He was also a member of the Deliotte & Touche South African Exco for five years and a founding partner of Anderson Rochussen Crisp (Chartered Accountants (SA)).

In April, SecureData’s H1 results showed a rise in revenue to R235.71 million for the six months ended January 2012, from R198.958 million before, with headline earnings per share improving to 3.9 cents, from 1.1 cents in 2011.

However, the company also reported that profit from operations declined to R6.109 million, from R9.093 million before.
