A South African beach has been ranked among the best beaches in the world – and yes, it is in Cape Town.
Camps Bay beach has been voted as the 17th best beach in the world, in the 2016 TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice awards.
The beach scored 4.5 stars from 1,337 reviews on the travel platform, taking the place as the best beach in South Africa, and the second best beach in Africa.

Sharm El Luli beach in Marsa Alam, Egypt, was ranked ahead of Camps Bay at 13th, overall.
Grace Bay, in the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean was voted as the best beach in the world, with its clean, clear water and hundreds of shades of blue.
Baia do Sancho beach in Brazil was ranked second, followed by Cuba’s Playa Paraiso, Anse Lazio in the Seychelles and Cayo de Agua in Venezuela.
