Watch: Brazen thief steals phone from a trolley in Woolworths

New video footage has emerged showing a man stealing a mobile phone from a handbag in a trolley in Woolworths while its owner is only a few feet away.
CCTV footage from a Woolworths grocery store in South Africa highlights the need for people to be more cautious amid increasingly brazen criminals.
In the footage, which was posted on Youtube by CrimeWatch, a man posing as a customer initially scans the trolley twice to look inside the bag of a female shopper while her attention is focused on picking items off a shelf.
He then quickly circles back and pockets the phone before the victim even has a chance to realise his presence.
