Cell C offers super-cheap data bundles
Cell C announced in has released a new range of same-day expiry and late-night data bundles to all prepaid and hybrid customers.
The new offer includes three SmartData Daily bundles that expire at midnight, and two Nite Bundles that are valid from 01:00 to 07:00 in the morning.
These new bundles also benefit from a data billing increment of 1 kilobyte (KB). Earlier this year Cell C hiked the billing increments on its data products from 5KB to 25KB, causing an outcry among subscribers.
“Many customers want a quick check of their social media or a quick post on an online service. These new bundles will allow anyone with a data enabled phone to do just that,” said Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos.
“Sometimes customers just need that little bit extra to complete their operating system updates or other large file downloads,” Dos Santos said. “These Nite bundles will give them that extra shot of data at an unbelievable price.”

Customers can dial *109# to purchase any of these bundles. The out-of-bundle rate will be the default on the customer’s tariff plan, Cell C said.
