A property on 8.84 hectares in Knysna, Western Cape, is currently on the market for R78 million.

According to Pam Golding, the property is situated on the slopes of the Western Heads, with views across the Heads, the Lagoon, and the Outeniqua Mountains.

The 2,000 sqm home comes with seven bedrooms, a pool room, a wine cellar, and private lounges.

There is also a notable heated indoor-outdoor swimming pool that can be used year-round.

Pam Golding said that there is also the opportunity to rebuild the second guesthouse, with plans in place to possibly construct four two-bedroom cottages for staff or guests.

The property’s slipes are also adorned with nearly 1,000 vines, which can be turned into wines. The property also features ponds and water features, with a diverse range of indigenous birdlife.

In terms of safety , the property comes with a fence boundary, alarm and automatic gates.

Although the beach at the front of the property cannot be claimed as private, it is unlikely that another person will be encountered there, Pam Golding said. This means that owners can enjoy a private beach picnic or enjoy access to a boats via a personal jetty and mooring.
