New lifestyle shopping mall in South Africa hits ‘full throttle’
Retail property specialist Ancora says the construction of the Springs Lifestyle Centre in Gauteng has hit “full throttle.”
The centre will have 25,000 sqm of gross letting areas, with confirmed tenants including Builders Express, Food Lovers Market, McDonald’s (drive-through), Chicken Licken (fly-thru), Crazy Plastics, Crazy Pets, King of the Grill, Mozambik and The Real Hennies.
In addition to the retail component, the centre will also have a filling station and two motor dealerships.
The centre will be on the corner of the two busiest roads in Springs – Wit Road and Jan Smuts Road.
The site also has direct accessibility from the N17 off-ramp, opposite Springs Mall.
Springs is situated to the east of Johannesburg and was originally known as a mining centre. However, it is now experiencing significant industrial growth.
Ancora said that the centre is set to open in early 2025.
