Business Talk – Ninety One CEO Hendrik du Toit on the South African investment landscape

In this Business Talk interview, Hendrik du Toit – Founder and CEO of Ninety One – discusses the current investment landscape in South Africa.

Du Toit entered the asset management industry in 1988 and joined Investec Group in 1991, founding Investec Asset Management.

He has stayed with the business throughout his career, including when it rebranded to Ninety One on 16 March 2020.

Du Toit also served as Joint CEO of Investec Group from 1 October 2018 until the demerger and listing of Ninety One from Investec Group.

Alongside his current role at Ninety One, du Toit is also a Non-Executive Director of Naspers Limited and its European subsidiary, Prosus.
