Cell C launches ‘panic button’ app for R45 per month
Cellfind has partnered with Cell C to deliver Cell C MiAssist, a value added service (VAS) mobile application to allow subscribers instant access to emergency services.
Cell C MiAssist is available as a mobile application on iOS and Android.
Available at R45 per month for Cell C contract customers, the app provides a wide range of emergency services which include:
Panic buttons: With a single push of a button or call to the emergency response centre, customers can call for help in the event of a medical emergency, home invasion or car hijacking. In a medical emergency, the crisis manager will immediately dispatch a road or air ambulance to provide life support and take the patient to the nearest hospital.
Cellfind’s location-based (LBS) technology allows the caller’s cellphone to send assistance by reaching the contact centre, which provides the location of the emergency.
The home assist feature helps customers deal with home emergencies and also provides a list of emergency plumbers, electricians etc. when an urgent action needs to be taken to minimise damage to the home.
The vehicle assist service assists a stranded motorist – from changing a tyre, rescuing keys from inside a locked vehicle, or repairing minor problems such as blown fuses or broken fan belts.
With Cell C MiAssist’s driver assist, subscribers can book a driver to drive them and their car home safely after an evening out.
The legal assist benefit gives customers 24/7 access to qualified lawyers and legal consultants.
The service also provides some basic legal documents for free (lease agreement, power-of-attorney, will, domestic employment agreement, ante-nuptial agreement).
