Stellenbosch is one of the wealthiest towns in South Africa, with over 70 millionaires calling it home. Along with the likes of Fresnaye, Bishopscourt, Clifton and Camps Bay, it makes the Western Cape one of the most millionaire dense regions in the country.

According to property group, Seeff, property prices in some of the high profile areas such as the Atlantic Seaboard have increased by 70% to 80% over the past five years, and are now reaching R150,000 for just one square metre in areas such as Clifton.

High-end properties in Stellenbosch tend to be farmland, which sell for about R800,000 to R1 million per hectare.
