Cape Town’s new R14 billion “car-free” lifestyle village comes to life
Cape Town’s new R14 billion “car-free” Blue Rock Village is coming to life following the launch of phase one – Giovanni Luxury Terrace Apartments.
Blue Rock Village is a R14 billion upgrade to the current Blue Rock Resort located in Somerset West, in Cape Town, aimed at becoming South Africa’s ‘greenest’ city – the first with a six-star green rating from the Green Building Council South Africa.
The village will be ‘car-free’ with all parking to be underground, while apartments will use energy efficient appliances; LED lighting; water-management systems from showers to irrigation; solar water-heating systems and self-generated solar power.
The new apartments start from R4.2 million, with as much as 65% of the first phase reserved before sale.
The Giovanni Luxury Terrace Apartment consist of 64 apartments, with 1 to 3 bedrooms and 4 luxury Penthouses with an option to customise or combine two units to create a large 4 to 6 luxury room apartment.
Apartment sizes range from 117sq to 556sq this includes surrounding terrace.
