Volkswagen announces new limited edition Beetle in SA – with prices
Volkswagen has announced a new limited edition Beetle R-Line model, with only 50 units being made available to participating Volkswagen dealerships across South Africa.
The car will retail for R419,500 and comes standard with a 5 year/90,000km Service Plan, 3 year/120,000km warranty and a 12 year anti-corrosion warranty.
It boasts a four-cylinder turbocharged engine with an output rating of 110 kW and offers a maximum torque of 250Nm (between 1,500 and 3,500rpm).
Fuel consumption on the new Beetle R-Line is 5.7litres/100km.
Unique to the new limited edition Beetle is a redesigned front bumper as well as a larger central air inlet; a new black trim; a new optional paint finish; standard park distance control; colour-coordinated 18-inch Ravenna Adamantium silver alloy wheels; and smoked LED tail lights.
Volkswagen has also significantly changed the interior of the vehicle with new exclusive R-Line inspired seats as well as ambient illumination around the speakers, door panels, including a lighting strip under the door trim and the LEDs on the loudspeaker ring.
Other standard features include a composition media radio system and eight loudspeakers, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, USB interface as well as Apple’s App-Connect.
