Vodacom hits back at Telkom Mobile ads
Vodacom has launched a new advertising campaign highlighting the benefits of its ‘limitless’ Red VIP smartphone price plan over Telkom Mobile’s Unlimited product.
This marketing campaign by Vodacom follows radio and TV advertisements by Telkom Mobile which poked fun at Vodacom’s ‘limitless’ products.
Telkom Mobile and Vodacom are offering smartphone plans with unlimited calls, but Telkom Mobile’s offering is significantly cheaper than Vodacom’s.
- Vodacom Red for R1,999 per month: Limitless calls, Limitless SMSs and 1.5GB of data
- Telkom Mobile Unlimited Voice for R1,199 per month: Unlimited calls, No SMSs, No data
Telkom Mobile is making the most of its cheaper rate, although it does not offer the same as Vodacom, in its new advertising campaign.
Vodacom hits back at Telkom Mobile
Vodacom has now hit back at Telkom Mobile, pointing out that its ‘limitless’ Red VIP smartphone price plan offers far more value than its competitor’s unlimited product.
Vodacom also pokes fun at Telkom Mobile, saying that “people who believe limitless is not a real word are just not very well red”.
In another advertisement Vodacom points out that Limitless is indeed a real word, and that “if your network gave you any data [which Telkom Mobile’s unlimited plan does not offer] you could Google it”.
