MICROmega Holdings’ (MMG) subsidiary company, Turrito Networks, has signed a partnership agreement with supply chain management and global logistics firm, Super Group (SGP), to deliver cloud computing services.

Turrito is a provider of network and virtualisation services, for both private and public cloud requirements.

Its solutions are accessible anywhere and are not bound to specific physical devices, enabling the virtualisation of a corporate’s network in a very short space of time, and the delivery of the customer’s choice of services from the cloud.

The primary data centre for Super Group went live with Turrito’s cloud technology in January 2012. This internal infrastructure is delivering cloud computing services to Super Group and its customers in South Africa and several international regions.

Turrito would also work with Super Group to expand the cloud computing enablement across its operating regions.

Brian Timperley, MD of Turrito, said: “Concluding the Super Group agreement was significant for Turrito as it has given us the opportunity to work with a large, respected multi-national company in delivering a world class cloud solution.”

“The momentum that has been generated from the Super Group deal has been exceptional, and we have managed to overcome the barriers to entry for corporates wanting to go cloud. We are currently engaging with clients across the spectrum of corporate South Africa, with similair roll-outs scheduled for the near future”.

Greg Morris, CEO of MICROmega added:  “Turrito is starting to deliver on its immense potential and while the effect on earnings will initially be small, we expect the investment we have made in cloud computing over the past three years to deliver a high return by Q4 this year”.
