Eskom reduces load shedding until Monday – here’s the new schedule
Power utility Eskom says that it has reduced load shedding due to improved pumped storage dam levels.
Therefore, Stage 2 load shedding will be implemented from 08:00 until 16:00 today, followed by Stage 4 load shedding until 05:00 on Monday.
Loadshedding was suspended at 01:35 this morning, said Eskom.
“The pumped storage dam levels have been adequately replenished for the week ahead. Diesel levels at the OCGT power stations have improved but remain low,” is added.
Eskom added it would publish an update as soon as any significant changes occur.
The schedule is as follows:
Sunday, 16 July
- Suspended: 01h35 to 08h00
- Stage 2: 08h00 to 16h00
- Stage 4: 16h00 to 00h00
Monday, 17 July
- Stage 4: 00h00 to 05h00
