Eskom eases load shedding slightly – here’s the latest schedule
Power utility Eskom says it has replenished its emergency reserves enough to ease load shedding slightly this week.
The group said that load shedding will be eased to stage 1 on Wednesday night (18 October) from 22h00 until 05h00 on Thursday.
Thereafter, load shedding will be suspended until 16h00. Stage 2 load shedding will return in the evening, and the pattern of suspension during the day and stage 2 at night will continue until further notice.
The updated schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, 18 October
- 16h00 to 22h00 – Stage 2
- 22h00 to 00h00 – Stage 1
Thursday, 19 October
- 00h00 to 05h00 – Stage 1
- 05h00 to 16h00 – Suspended
- 16h00 to 05h00 – Stage 2
Friday, 20 October
- 00h00 to 05h00 – Stage 2
- 05h00 to 16h00 – Suspended
- 16h00 to 05h00 – Stage 2
