1Gbps Durban fibre-to-the-home pricing revealed
123NET has unveiled its planned fibre-to-the-home prices, which include a 1Gbps uncapped FTTH product for R799 per month.
Last week 123 Internetworks (123NET) announced that it was preparing to roll out fibre services to homes and businesses in KwaZulu-Natal and other parts of the country.
123Net CEO Kalin Bogatzevski said their aim is to provide ultra-fast Internet access to South Africans, which includes a 1Gbps services.
The company has now unveiled its planned FTTH prices, and it is better than anything seen in South Africa before.
123NET is planning three residential services, with prices ranging between R300 per month and R1,999 per month:

There is also the option to pay a once-off fee of R3,600 for the 5Mbps service, and then receive full, uncapped access free of charge.
Bogatzevski explained that all their plans come with uncapped data – the only limits are for the international bandwidth speeds.
“We will not limit the speed to any South African IP network,” said Bogatzevski. “Subscribers will be able to use the maximum possible bandwidth [1Gbps] that the remote site can provide.”
He added that these FTTH plans will be available to all 123NET subscribers, independent of their location.
