Leading Gauteng hardware chain, Chamberlain, has launched a new store in the East Rand – located at 26 Great North Road in Brentwood Park, Benoni.

As the 10th Chamberlain branch, this new store marks an exciting new milestone in the expansion of the family-owned hardware chain.

When the ribbon was cut at 07:30 on 1 September 2026, the East Rand store officially opened its doors to a large group of shoppers, with BusinessTech in attendance.

As part of the launch, Chamberlain has announced a wide range of deals at the new East Rand store, which will run from 1 September 2026 to 13 September 2026.

There are fantastic deals across major segments, including generators, power tools, toolboxes, spring items like compost and seedlings, and much more.

The new East Rand store is Chamberlain’s second largest store – after its Mega Montana branch – and gives contractors, tradesmen, and DIY enthusiasts in the area and the surrounding communities access to its extensive hardware and home-improvement range.

That includes over 35,000 products across every hardware category, and these products are supported by knowledgeable staff who provide customers with expert assistance.

The store even offers a coffee shop for the family – reinforcing its own family roots.

A legacy of customer service

For East Rand residents, the arrival of Chamberlain provides a new local option backed by more than 120 years of experience in the hardware sector.

“Family businesses are the backbone of South Africa, and we want every store to bring something valuable to the community and to the area,” said Catherine Chamberlain, Executive Retail Sales Director.

“We’re here for the long term… we invest, we commit to the local community, and we commit to South Africa. We’re all in,” said Chamberlain.

She also emphasised that Chamberlain is a proudly family-owned and managed business, with a dedication to its staff and its customer service.

“We don’t ever retrench. We’ve never retrenched in the 120 years that we’ve been operating. We put our staff welfare and long-term job security above everything.”

Chamberlain has been around since 1903, and during this time it has built a reputation for its quality products, expert advice, and reliable service.

Customers can expect the same friendly service that has become a defining part of the Chamberlain experience, supported by staff who can provide free expert advice.
