Load shedding is back after a short break – here’s the new schedule

After announcing all-day suspension to load shedding this week, Eskom says that outages will have to be implemented to replenish low damn levels.
Stage 3 load shedding will now be implemented from 20h00 on Thursday (21 March), with outages being suspended again between 05h00 and 16h00 on Friday.
Thursday, 21 March
- Suspended: until 20h00
- Stage 3: 20h00 to 00h00
Friday, 22 March
- Stage 3: 00h00 to 05h00
- Suspended: 05h00 to 16h00
- Stage TBA: 16h00 to 00h00
“Eskom will provide an update on Friday afternoon or if any significant changes occur,” the group said.
Unplanned outages are at 14,366MW, and planned maintenance slightly increased to 6,307MW. The anticipated electricity demand for this evening peak is 25,672MW.
