Datatec appoints new Westcon CEO

ICT firm, Datatec has appointed former Dell and Brambles executive, Dolph Westerbos as new chief executive for the Westcon Group, effective from 1 January 2014.

Westcon Group is Datatec’s global distribution of advanced networking, security and unified communications solutions division.

Previously, Westerbos helped set up Dell’s channel business in Europe, managing the company’s relationships with its value added resellers.

“Dolph brings a considerable international track record, so we are delighted that he is joining us to run Westcon,” said Datatec CEO, Jens Montanana.

“His experience in global supply chain operations coupled with technology based services and his focus on operational efficiency and international commerce will be invaluable.”

Westerbos will take over from Dean Douglas who is leaving Datatec to take up another role, after a handover in January.
