Cell C cuts international call costs for Christmas

Cell C has launched its 65c international calling promotion, which the company said is aimed at reducing overseas call rates over the festive season.
As of 5 November, customers calling the UK, USA, Germany, Greece, Portugal, France, Belgium, Canada, Spain, India, China, and Singapore will pay 65c per minute (pure per second billing) to both fixed and mobile lines at these destinations.
There is no opt-in and the rates are applicable to all new and existing pre-paid, TopUp, Postpaid and LCR customers and will be available until 31st January 2014.
This promotion follows MTN’s promotion which reduced international call rates to some international destinations to 75c per minute.
