Nashua Mobile launches online shop

Nashua Mobile, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSE-listed Reunert, has launched a new e-commerce website which will enable customers to handpick the latest mobile devices, gadgets and accessories and have them delivered anywhere in South Africa free of charge.
According to Nashua Mobile, the online shop offers the newest smartphones, tablets, and notebooks, as well as a full selection of accessories to enhance, personalise and protect them.
“With online retail in South Africa growing 43% to R3.3-billion in 2012 (World Wide Worx), now is the perfect time for us to launch an e-commerce site,” said Nashua Mobile CEO Mark Taylor.
“We have invested in the logistics and customer support systems that ensure that consumers will have a great experience when they order online from us.”
Nashua Mobile’s Online Shop is powered by Digital Planet, a player in end-to-end e-commerce solutions including e-commerce website and management, fulfillment and call centre services.
The store adds to Nashua Mobile’s compliment of 150 retail stores countrywide.
In a recent interview with BusinessTech, Taylor said: “We have aggressive plans to roll out much more retail distribution. Just in the last year, our retail sales are up 40% year on year. That’s been our focus, to get the stores and the service right.”
“We’ve gone bold, ultra-modern look and feel to our stores. It’s paying dividends,” he said.
“We have 150 (retail stores) at the moment, we approved another five last week. We will probably be in another 50 malls in the next two years, and then we are also looking at partners in the retail space,” the chief executive said.
