A video of professional surfer Tom Dosland wiping out on a 40 foot (12 meter) wave in Maui, Hawaii has gone viral.
Dosland was surfing the break off the North Shore of Peahi Point ‘Jaws’.
He was taking part in the Volcom Pipe Pro 2016 event when he fell off his board at the crest of the monster wave.
“I just got really really pounded,” the surfer told Red Bull. “I’m just happy to be alive,” he said.
