New drone footage shows how Apple’s new $5 billion ‘Space Ship’ campus is taking shape, one mile from its existing Cupertino, California, base.
The tech company’s new headquarters is still under construction, and is expected to be completed later this year or in early 2017.
The campus was was originally scheduled to open in 2015 but following a series of delays, construction only got under way last year.
The 2.8 million square foot complex is designed by designed by British architect Norman Foster and will house more than 13,000 Apple employees once finished.
The campus will have enough solar panels and fuel cells to acquire 70% of the building’s energy requirements.
The ‘Space Ship’ is more than a mile around and will have 300,000 square feet of research facilities and underground parking.
