Watch: Horror taxi accident caught on dashcam in South Africa
A new video has emerged showing a horror fatal accident involving two minibus taxis in South Africa.
Dashcam video footage uploaded by Crime Watch, shows a taxi overtaking a vehicle illegally, before swerving into oncoming traffic as the driver loses control.
The taxi slams into another minibus taxi before flipping over. At least one person can be seen thrown out of one of the vehicles involved in the accident.
It is unclear where in the country the accident took place.
At the end of April 2016 there were 301,000 registered minibus taxis on the roads, transporting millions of commuters on a daily basis.
According to Arrive Alive, nearly 650 accidents involving a minibus taxi have occurred in the country since 2013.
