SA start-up offers cash for your old mobile

Zwipit SA, a wholly-owned South African arm of the global brand, Zwipit, has launched its mobile device buy-back e-commerce business on Tuesday.

Zwipit specialises in the acquisition of used mobile devices including tablets, feature phones and smartphones for refurbishment and resale.

The new business will offer consumers and businesses cash for their old devices and makes South Africa the 10th country of territories of where Zwipit now operates.

Zwipit South Africa offers:

  • Competitive pricing for your old device, guaranteed upfront;
  • Free courier collection at your door or desk;
  • Cash in your bank account or credit card within a maximum of 10 working days;
  • A cash offer for nearly any major brand and model.

“Our goal is to extend the useful life of devices already in the market, to the benefit of the person who sells it and its new owner,” said Nothando Moleketi, Zwipit South Africa’s executive of marketing and operations.
