Woolworths launches new cash-back rewards
Woolworths has launched a new higher-tier rewards programme through Woolworths Financial Services, which will offer customers cash back and additional perks.
The programme, called MyDifference Plus, is a higher-tier programme for Woolies Credit Card and Store Card customers that sits on top of its new MyDifference system.
Woolworths launched the MyDifference rewards programme in July 2025, replacing the previous WRewards and MySchool scheme.
Cards for the older schemes stopped working at the end of June 2026, requiring all loyalty customers to migrate to the new system
According to Woolworths, the MyDifference Plus tier is exclusively for Woolworths Credit Card and Store Card customers and will be tied to how they shop and manage their accounts.
Notably, while the standard MyDifference rewards introduced discount vouchers similar to other retail-brand programmes like Pick n Pay’s SmartShopper and Checkers’ XtraSavings, the new Plus tier offers cash back.
Cashback earn rates are achieved by completing personalised actions such as paying accounts on time, shopping regularly with a Woolies Credit Card or Store Card, engaging with the Woolies app, or setting up a debit order.
Beyond cashback, customers can also unlock personalised vouchers by achieving shopping goals tailored to their purchasing habits, Woolworths said.
“MyDifference Plus promos also provide additional savings through exclusive discounts on selected Woolworths products when customers pay with their Woolies Credit Card or Store Card,” it said.
The programme is available through the Woolworths app, where customers can track their completed actions, their cashback earnings, view personalised actions and goals and access available rewards and promotions.
